This is from Ben’s diary during his time in South Africa.

Happy New Year everyone.
I hope you have all had a good time and enjoyed yourselves in whatever you have been up to.
Well it is so hot and humid I am breaking out a sweat just typing this! Our first day in Rio has been an interesting one. I have to apologise now because I think I have only taken four photos today, but there is a good reason for this I promise.
Sitting in the airport (London Heathrow), just saw Bob Geldof reading the Financial Times. I’m not joking! It feels so great to finally be here after a fairly stressful week trying to get work finished before leaving!
A few days ago I was asked If I could check out a hotel search engine called the Hotel Calulator. I was a bit dubious at first, as I have had mixed results with hotel booking search engines before, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Calculator! Read on to get my verdict…
Chile is going to be the last leg in our tour of South America, but by no means are we looking forward to it any less than the other countries along the way. Quite the opposite! Chile has some amazing attractions so read on to find out the ones we are most looking forward to.
So far I have been focusing on where we are about to go, but it occured to me yesterday that it would be a nice idea to have a post about where we come from and the surrounding areas. What better way to do it than in a picture post (plus the fact I wanted an excuse to test my new travel camera).
Yes I like to make up words. You have probably already guessed that Frightcitement is a combination of excitement and fright, or frightening. With less than a month until we leave, those to words more or less some up how I’m feeling right now.
Now this is hard! It is very easy to get carried away, I know personally my “places to visit” list is becoming ridiculously long, but at the same time, a trip isn’t a trip without places to visit! With this in mind there are a couple of things you should take into account when choosing where to go.
Some of the things we have learnt while researching and planning this trip have surprised us. Of course, there is all the normal bits and pieces, but there has been one point that I hadn’t thought about before, and in my opinion is the mother of all tips! What is it you ask? Read on to find out!
I’m very sorry for the delay, our internet has been very few and far between and to be honest I have been having such fun it has been hard to find the time. Anyway, here is what I’ve been up to since my last post. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
